The Trinity is the one true God who exists eternally as three distinct persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—each fully and equally divine. They share one essence and act in perfect unity, yet relate to one another in personal distinction. The Father purposes, the Son accomplishes, and the Spirit applies God’s work, revealing a God who has forever existed in loving fellowship within Himself.
The Bible is the inspired and only infallible written Word of God, given by the Holy Spirit through human authors and preserved as the final authority for faith and life. Every part of Scripture is trustworthy, true, and sufficient, revealing God’s character, His redemptive plan, and His will for His people. Through its pages, God speaks with clarity and power, guiding believers in truth and forming the foundation for all Christian teaching and practice.
Jesus Christ is fully divine, born of a virgin, and sent by the Father to accomplish our salvation. Through His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, He paid the penalty for sin once for all, and by His bodily resurrection He conquered death and secured eternal life for all who believe. He now reigns in glory and will personally return to earth in power, fulfilling His promises and establishing His kingdom in righteousness and majesty.
Salvation is a gracious work provided by the Holy Spirit and is essential for every person. He convicts the heart, awakens faith, draws sinners to Christ, and brings about the new birth. Through His transforming power, we are regenerated, justified, and brought into a living relationship with God. Without the Spirit’s saving work, no one can truly come to Christ or experience the life He offers.
There will be a future resurrection of both the saved and the lost, as God brings all humanity to its final and eternal destiny. Those who have trusted in Christ will be raised to everlasting life in His presence, restored and glorified forever. Those who have rejected Him will be raised to face judgment and everlasting separation from God. This final resurrection affirms both God’s perfect justice and His unfailing promise to redeem all who belong to Him.
Marriage has been instituted by God. Christian Fundamentalist Internal Revenue Employees (CFIRE) defines "marriage" as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment. A civil government's sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church (CFIRE) only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of "marriage" found in these Articles.
Legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. Hence, sexual relations outside of marriage (referred to in the New Testament as "porneia") including but not limited to, adultery, premarital sex, homosexuality, and pedophilia are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the Church. Further, lascivious conduct, transgenderism, and the creation and/or distribution and/or viewing of pornography, are incompatible with the biblical witness.
